Dr.Emily Grossman

With a first class degree in natural sciences from Queens’ College, Cambridge and a PHD in cancer research from the University of Manchester, Emily is a science communicator and populariser, having been resident expert on The Alan Titchmarsh Show, and a panellist on Sky’s show Duck Quacks Don’t Echo. In 2016 Emily gave a TED talk on ‘Why Science Needs People Who Cry’ and in 2017 she was named an honorary STEM ambassador at the STEM Inspiration Awards. Emily has hosted numerous events and lectured at a number of institutions both on science topics as well as advocating the encouragement of women in science.

Lawrence D’Silva

A fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, having trained in Natural Sciences covering both the environment and medical science, Lawrence holds a post-grad masters in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London. A regular contributing presenter for the BBC’s The One Show Lawrence has also worked in developing renewable energy projects as well as in the field of ethical / environmental investment in the City of London.
